Ironically, Americans are known as freedom fighters, coming to the aid and rescue of many countries, freeing and securing them from tyranny. Presently, Americans find themselves fighting for their own freedom from tyranny under Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the Democrat-led Congress. The American people have been consistent and clear in their will: kill the ObamaCare bill.
We all agree that the Democrats are committing political suicide and a mauling is going to take place in November with the GOP gaining a significant number of seats in Congress–maybe even the long shot of a 2/3 majority to override any presidential vetoes and even impeach Obama and members of Congress. Goals, indeed.
Americans keep asking what is going on in this country because they just cannot grasp the tyranny the country is experiencing. Clearly, there is an underlying plan that is being [en]forced, against our will, because Obama knows this is be the last time in possibly a generation the progressive Democrats will have the power to execute the fall of America into a socialistic state–their ultimate goal. Maybe this is what Obama explained to Rep. Dennis Kucinich in private on Air Force One to cause him to switch his vote from no to yes. Continue Reading »

The way Bill Maher sees it, resistance to ObamaCare is all God’s fault. Why? Because so many people believe in this “schmuck” who lives in the clouds…and this belief, in turn, intensifies opposition to ObamaCare.
This leftist social critic, anti-Christian crusader, and HBO comedy show host warned God at the end of last week to back off, to allow smart people like himself and Barack Obama and the New York Times editorial board to push the God-fearing “ignoramuses” aside this week and take control of the nation’s health care. As an individual citizen, is it more American to believe that you have a personal responsibility to be personally accountable for your actions, and those of your family? Or is it more American to believe that you should wait for the giant collective to take care of you?
This did not use to be a controversial concept. Until liberals decided that power is more highly coveted than freedom. Once they did, they started systematically enslaving people to the collective. Continue Reading »

Obamacare: A Nightmare for America
American Thinker | by Janice Shaw Crouse | 3/18/2010
What we’re seeing in Washington, D.C. is not “politics as usual” with the arm twisting and “horse trading” that is typical in getting a bill passed; instead, it is ideological warfare. What Obama, Reid and Pelosi are doing is not legislating; it is an act of tyranny — overturning all the rules and principles of government in a representative democracy. Attempting to pass the Senate version of ObamaCare in the House under the ironically named “Slaughter Rule” (to circumvent the objections of the Stupak coalition to taxpayer funding of abortion) is an exercise in raw power akin to the many acts of judicial tyranny the American public has endured over the last 40 years from judges who have little regard for the Constitution.
Apparently Obama, Reid and Pelosi aren’t worried about losing control of Congress in 2010 or even the presidency in 2012, because their higher goal is to irrevocably institutionalize their leftist ideology. Continue Reading »

In the USSR, economic equality was achieved by redistributing wealth, ensuring that everyone remained poor, with the exception of those doing the redistributing. Only the ruling class of communist leaders had access to special stores, medicine and accommodations that could compare to those in the West. [...]
In the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, I was taught to believe individual pursuits are selfish and sacrificing for the collective good is noble. In kindergarten we sang songs about Lenin, the leader of the Socialist Revolution. In school we learned about the beautiful socialist system, where everybody is equal and everything is fair; about ugly capitalism, where people are exploited and treat each other like wolves in the wilderness.
Life in the USSR modeled the socialist ideal. God-based religion was suppressed and replaced with cultlike adoration for political figures. Continue Reading »

The Obama administration is poised to ban offshore oil drilling on the outer continental shelf until 2012 or beyond. Meanwhile, Russia is making a bold strategic leap to begin drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. While the United States attempts to shift gears to alternative fuels to battle the purported evils of carbon emissions, Russia will erect oil derricks off the Cuban coast. Continue Reading »

Obama’s latest attempt to shove the government takeover of healthcare down the throats of the American people has taken yet another insane turn. On Monday (3/15), in his Health Care Reform address in Strongsville, Ohio, President Obama claimed that ObamaCare will reduce insurance premiums by as much as “3,000 percent.” The words lie and impossible are insufficient to describe the outright idiocy and ridiculousness of such a preposterous assertion.
Unhappy with just spreading fear and misinformation about America’s healthcare system, trashing insurance companies, defaming conservative opponents, avoiding a fair and balanced debate of the facts, and strong-arming Congress into passing the 2,700 page healthcare bill monstrosity without proper due process and allowing lawmakers to vote on the actual healthcare legislation, Obama is now insulting our intelligence. Fiscal Policy: The latest data show a record number of people with no tax obligation. We also have the highest-earning nontaxpayers ever. With more riding the wagon and fewer pulling, it should soon break down.
A record number of the 142 million tax returns filed in 2008 resulted in no taxes owed, according to the Tax Foundation’s analysis of the latest IRS data. About 51.6 million returns, or 36.3%, were filed by those whose deductions, exemptions and tax credits wiped out any federal income-tax obligation. Continue Reading »

A little bit of wisdom that was shared with me not too long ago. “God gave us a Powerful gift – your mind. As you look around at any object, it began as an idea in some one’s mind. Any change of situation begins as a thought.” Indeed there is infinite power in an idea.
Russell Kirk wrote, “Conservatism is not a political system, but a way of looking at the civil order.” Put more plainly, it is a world view. People often confuse being a conservative with being a Republican. However, Republican is a political party not a way of thinking. All republicans are not conservatives. In fact as we have seen over the years there are even some republicans that are not republicans. Being a conservative is really about the embrace of an idea. Continue Reading »

Among the things left and right, religious and secular, agree on is that one of the few real needs human beings have is to be needed. When we are not needed, life feels pointless.
The need to be needed is universal. Men need it; women need it. The sexes may feel needed in different ways, but the depth of the need is the same. Many women feel particularly alive when needed by their young children; many men feel worthy when needed by their family and/or their work. That is why most women navigate difficult emotional straits when their adult children leave home and assume independent lives, and why most men find it so crushing to lose their job — not necessarily because of loss of income, but because of the loss of meaning that comes from no longer being needed. When human life is measured only by its cost, then you know there are wider and very concerning implications about what such people believe and will do.
We are seeing the Obama Democrats come out these past few days revealing, more explicitly than ever before, their true nature of being political thugs.
All stops are being pulled to ram their health care legislation through – no matter how much the American public opposes it, no matter how much they have to lie and trash the constitution and legislative traditions, and no matter how much they have to bribe or threaten fellow Democrats who won’t go along with their corrupt program.

President-of-the-World Obama is at it again. Apparently, he feels that the problems in this country are too small for him, or else they have all been solved. His wisdom and greatness are too important to be squandered on only one nation. They must be made available to save the entire world.
In his latest initiative, Obama takes “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you” across national borders. The White House recently “announced a ‘summit on entrepreneurship’ to build economic ties with the Islamic world, part of President Barack Obama’s outreach to Muslims.” It has invited participants from more than forty countries over five continents for the April 26-27 conference in Washington. Can something as simple as good manners help to stem the coarsening of our culture? Yes!
Cord Ivanyi, a Latin teacher at a Phoenix high school, was tired seeing the boys in his class subject the girls to vulgar words and behavior. The behavior was disrespectful, and disrupting to his classes. So Ivanyi decided to give the boys an example in chivalry. When a girl got up to go to the restroom, Ivanyi stood as a sign of respect. When she came back to class, Ivanyi held the door for her. Continue Reading »
