If there was ever any question what Feisal Abdul Rauf, the imam behind the Ground Zero mosque project, thought about America, the latest audio clip uncovered by Pamela Geller on her Atlas Shrugs blog should remove any doubt.  In the 2005 lecture the “moderate” imam said this about our country:

“We tend to forget, in the West, that the United States has more Muslim blood on its hands than al Qaida has on its hands of innocent non Muslims. You may remember that the US-led sanctions against Iraq led to the death of over half a million Iraqi children. This has been documented by the United Nations.”

The “half-million Iraqi children died because of US sanctions” lie was also a favorite of both Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein who both used it in their hate-America propaganda.  This whopper of a myth was first dreamed up by Saddam Hussein era Iraqi officials, in order to smear America and sway world opinion against the sanctions imposed on Saddam to stop him from expanding his “biological, chemical, nuclear, and missile-based weapons systems.”

A detailed expose done by Reason magazine back 2002 debunked this lie and explained the origin of this myth.  The article documented the deeply flawed studies that gave birth to this falsehood and the lack of objective and independent data to backup the outrageous claims.

“The idea that sanctions in Iraq have killed half a million children (or 1 million, or 1.5 million, depending on the hysteria of the source) took root in 1995 and 1996, on the basis of two transparently flawed studies, one inexplicable doubling of the studies’ statistics, and a non-denial on 60 Minutes.

In August 1995, the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) gave officials from the Iraqi Ministry of Health a questionnaire on child mortality and asked them to conduct a survey in the capital city of Baghdad. On the basis of this five-day, 693-household, Iraq-controlled study, the FAO announced in November that “child mortality had increased nearly five fold” since the pre-sanctions era. As embargo critic Richard Garfield, a public health specialist at Columbia University, wrote in his own comprehensive 1999 survey of under-5 deaths in Iraq, “The 1995 study’s conclusions were subsequently withdrawn by the authors….Notwithstanding the retraction of the original data, their estimate of more than 500,000 excess child deaths due to the embargo is still often repeated by sanctions critics.”

In March 1996, the World Health Organization (WHO) published its own report on the humanitarian crisis. It reprinted figures — provided solely by the Iraqi Ministry of Health — showing that a total of 186,000 children under the age of 5 died between 1990 and 1994 in the 15 Saddam-governed provinces. According to these government figures, the number of deaths jumped nearly 500 percent, from 8,903 in 1990 to 52,905 in 1994.”

Building on the old adage that “if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it,” the “moderate” backer of the Ground Zero mosque has just provided us with important insights on just how objective, balanced, and moderate his views are. Let’s hope that America is paying attention.

The logo makeover contest was in response to the latest “Muslim friendly” NASA policies that Obama has foisted on America’s space exploration agency. Yes, this is no joke! Barack Hussein Obama has designated NASA’s new mission to “engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science.”

This information was revealed by NASA’s new Administrator Charles Bolden (appointed by Obama) in a recent interview with Al Jazeera. Bolden emphasized that strengthening ties with Muslim countries “was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.”

Here are Bolden’s exact words:

“When I became the NASA administrator — or before I became the NASA administrator — he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering,”

A newly released video exposes the radical left’s malevolent strategy to overwhelm America’s system of government, undermine our Constitution, and destroy our free-market economy. The YouTube clip highlights the tactics known as the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” designed to hasten the collapse of capitalism and our democratic system via manufactured crisis and impossible demands on our social structures. These diabolical schemes are already being deployed by Obama and the Democrats to foster fear, fuel instability, and spread chaos and misery across the nation.

The video begins with an ominous warning that most conservatives already know and understand, but many still don’t seem to get or want to believe:

It then proceeds to highlight “The Cloward-Piven Strategy” detailed by James Simpson back in September of 2008 in the article “Barrack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis“:

The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

The flood of different crisis and large-scale oppressive initiatives that keep on coming from Washington are yet more signs of the perverse tactics the left uses to overwhelm the American public. They are not wasting any opportunity to shove their Marxist ideology forward regardless of consequences.

The President and this Congress simply do not have our interests at heart. They are implementing this strategy on an unprecedented scale by flooding America with a tidal wave of poisonous initiatives, orders, regulations, and laws. As Rahm Emanuel said, “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.” (2:42 in video)

Furthermore, the constant barrage of new legislation, regulations, taxes, and executive orders are not haphazard. “They are not goals in and of themselves except in their ability to deliver power” and continually push America into deeper crisis and further chaos. They also serve a malicious purpose: to distract and demoralize the middle class and beat them down into submission.

In addition to overwhelming the government with demands for services, Obama and the Democrats are overwhelming political opposition to their plans with a flood of apocalyptic legislation. Their ultimate goal is to leave us so discouraged, demoralized, and exhausted that we throw our hands up in defeat. The prophetic expose by James Simpson back in September 2008 turned out to be accurate. He understood what and who were are dealing with: “They are all radicals, firmly bedded in the anti-American, communist, socialist, radical leftist mesh.”

Let’s just hope that James’ call and prayer can still be heeded by enough men and women of sufficient character, integrity, and courage to challenge the insanity in Washington. We need them now more than ever to stop these malevolent radicals and their suicidal agendas:

In a recent interview, Steve Wynn, the successful American casino resort and real-estate developer, made some shocking observations about the unstable and aggressively anti-business atmosphere in America perpetuated by our own government. In his interview with CNBC, Steve expressed the nightmarish situation that US companies face due to the arbitrary, punitive, and misguided manner in which legislators in Washington, DC continue to endlessly tax and regulate businesses in America, while our economy continues to suffer and deteriorate.

In a criticism clearly directed at President Obama and the Democrats, Mr. Wynn focused on the key reason why America is now less stable and less business-friendly than even China: our own incompetent government in Washington! He explained how China now offers more political stability, more opportunities, and much more business-friendly environment than the United States:

Steve Wynn also explains that the unpredictable and irresponsible manner in which our government is acting had created a “frightening” business climate in America and helped created an atmosphere of uncertainty for everyone. “The politicians are ruining us“, said Steve. He goes on to warn that “It’s got to stop. It’s got to stop!”

So when you ask me today about predictability and uncertainty in China compared to Washington, I take China. Washington is unpredictable these days. Washington is… No one in the business community from one coast to the other has any idea what’s next. And what’s even worse, the people that do business with us that buy our bonds in other countries don’t even know what’s next. The uncertainty of the business climate in America is frightening, frightening to everybody. And it’s delaying the recovery.

We’re on our way to Greece, in the hands of a confused and foolish government that is living up to the prediction of Alexis de Tocqueville who in 1909 said: “The American system of democracy will prevail until that moment when the politicians discover that they can bribe the electorate with their own money.” And boy it’s in full bloom today. So extreme that it would probably have an end unto itself. The public is frightened.

This Tea Party business is all about fear. There is a sense in the land of discomfort. There is a sense of fear that the politicians are ruining us. And the people are right.

Steve Wynn, the American entrepreneur and casino resort/real-estate developer, was recently interviewed by CNBC for the opening of his new Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas. During the questions and answers session with the correspondent, the billionaire business owner addressed some of the most serious problems American companies face and the incompetent manner in which politicians in Washington, DC are handling the economic situation and the unpredictable manner in which they continue to aggressively punish US businesses.

In the interview Wynn talks about the lack of common sense that has disappeared in Washington and the completely out-of-control spending that is fueling the massive national debt:

“It’s common sense that’s disappeared in Washington DC. It’s common sense that’s disappeared in the years of 7 and 8 in America. We’re inheriting the awful results, both in our government … of wild, uncontrolled spending, unbelievable, unsustainable debt.

And yet, here we are, doing it again, $20 billion a month to the FHA. On top of what happens to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. We’re doing it again today for $20 billion a month! We’re destroying the housing market, again; under the name of a stimulus, phony misrepresented names.”

Steve then explains how China now offers more opportunities and a more stable and business-friendly environment than the United States:

Governor Jan Brewer has just released another video message where she, once again, speaks out against Obama’s complete failure to secure the US borders and help Arizona control the massive illegal immigration invasion plaguing that state.

Governor Brewer takes on Obama’s lies that “our border is as safe as it has ever been” and she challenges the President to do his constitutionally mandated job of securing our borders and protecting the citizens of Arizona and of the United States.

This conservative woman has the guts and determination to challenge Obama’s incompetence and dereliction of duties.

Earlier this month, Governor Jan Brewer sat in the Oval Office with President Barack Obama to discuss the critical issue of border security. The Governor personally related to the President the concerns of millions of Arizonans over the lack of security on Arizona’s southern border. During their visit, President Obama committed to present details, within two weeks of their meeting, regarding his plans to commit National Guard troops to the Arizona border and commit to spend $500 million in additional funds on border security.

Governor Brewer remains eager to receive the specific details of President Obama’s border security plans. She continues to extend an invitation to the President to visit with families living along the southwestern border and see the situation firsthand.

Chris Matthews: “This President is NOT acting like Commander-in-Chief!”

An amazing awakening has just occurred today at MSNBC. Chris Matthews, yes the same one that got the tingle up his leg when he heard Obama speak, has finally done it! He actually criticized Obama and his incompetent leadership. In a rather lengthy diatribe, Matthews really gave it to the President and raised many valid points:

… You screw up, you should be able to fix the problem.

Number 2, this is our North American land mass. This is part of our birthright. With the Grand Canyon, with Niagra Fall, Yosemite.. These are some of the wonderful things that we hope will always be here, the Gulf of Mexico. Is more important than the presidency. This president has no acted that way! Like this is more important than a fundraiser… or interview about basketball..

He doesn’t seem to be taking ownership. Presidents must seize control when something like this happens.

Matthews (sounding like a reporter from FoxNews) went even further and lambasted Obama’s lack of leadership in a crisis:

I think this is more like the Iranian hostage crisis that brought down Jimmy Carter, think Katrina. It’s more like a situation where Churchill had to enlist every ship to get the men off Dunkirk. Or Harry Truman had to draft the mine workers…

This is big time and he [Obama] hasn’t acted like it’s big time!

And Matthews was not done just yet. He continued:

Why doesn’t he [Obama] operate in an emergency situation, the way Harry Truman would, and said we want all these super-tankers that do business in this country to get out there and start sucking up this petroleum. Millions and millions of gallons out there. It’s not going to go away unless it’s collected.

Why do we keep treating this like a BP business problem when it’s affecting our very society and our continent?

We’re treating it like a lower grade problem than it is, it’s clear to me.

And now for the Grand Finale by Matthew, get ready, this is were the Obama induced tingle may have finally worn off:

So Arizona passes a tough law against illegal immigration and suddenly they get Washington’s attention.

One poll finds 70 percent of Arizona voters support the new law… hey, maybe we better do something too. So like the lemmings they are when they smell a chance to score political points… and some of them need a lot of help with the midterms approaching – there is talk now of rushing immigration reform through Congress.

President Obama called the Arizona law “misguided.” What is misguided, Mr. President, is the federal government’s refusal to enforce the laws already on the books. Read the Arizona law… parts of it are word-for-word the same as the federal laws – which continue to be ignored.

Now we’ll hear all sorts of blathering from our Washington gerbils about the need for a new federal law. There will be press conferences, interviews, committee hearings, draft legislation, polling… all the usual carnival acts that accompany any hot-button issue in Washington, DC.

Instead of simply closing the borders and enforcing the existing law so that they could turn their attention to something like the national debt and the fact that the country is bankrupt, we will get this freak show.

Washington’s position on illegal immigration is dishonest from the top down. No enforcement. No border security. Just pandering to the Hispanic voters and the corporations that hire the illegals.

But when one of our states that is being ravaged by the presence of 460,000 illegal aliens inside its borders does something about it, the president says that’s “misguided.”

What a shame.

Here’s my question to you: Will the federal government ever enforce our immigration laws?

Gianna Jessen is a devout Christian. Her life was given to her by the grace of God. She shouldn’t be walking, but more miraculous still; she should not even be alive. Gianna’s biological mother was 17 when she had a saline abortion in her third trimester. Many Americans don’t realize it is legal to have an abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. After being burned alive for approximately 18 hours in the womb from the saline solution, Gianna was delivered alive in a Los Angeles County abortion clinic. Her medical records state, “born during saline abortion”…this is what caused her Cerebral Palsy.

Gianna was born in an abortion clinic and raised as an orphan in a foster home, yet Gianna Jessen isn’t going to complain. … For all of us who sometimes think life can be overwhelming, Jessen is a swift dose of reality. For everyone who believes a woman’s right to choose overshadows a child’s right to live Jessen is God’s answer.

Gianna’s doctor doubted whether she would ever hold her head up. When she began to walk she needed the aid of braces. And now, well now she runs marathons. If the story ended there, it would be remarkable and awe inspiring. It doesn’t. You see Jessen is a devout Christian that now travels the world sharing her testimony and speaking to young people about the horrors of abortions. She has a pretty good perspective from which to speak.

I can find a myriad of excuses not to talk about the Lord. Ms. Jessen has the perfect excuse and instead uses it to her strength to reach people for Christ. Jessen is an inspiration, but I doubt she would see it that way. I think she would be quick to say that Jesus is the true inspiration. As a Christian Jessen lives life to the fullest in a way pleasing to God without excuses. Oh that the same could be said of each and every one of us.
